1.
성경 구약은 이스라엘에 제한 되어 있다고 알 수도 있다. 그러나 구약에서도 이방인을 위한 구원의 역사를 볼 수 있다. 하나님의 구원의 역사는 이스라엘만을 위한 이스라엘에게 제한된 것은 전혀 어니었고 이스라엘을 사용하여 이방세계 즉 천한만민을 구원하게 하시는 도구도 삼았다는 것이다. 그러므로 예수님을 통해 인류구원역사를 이루시고 그이 성령으로 예수 이름을 온 세상에 전하게 하신 것이다.
행13장에서는 베드로에게 환상을 보여주시고 이방인들에게 역사를 통하여 이방인 즉 전 세계인을 향한 하나님의 구원역사를 볼 수 있다.
행11장
1 유대에 있는 사도들과 형제들이 이방인들도 하나님 말씀을 받았다 함을 들었더니
1 The apostles and the brothers /throughout Judea /heard /that the Gentiles also had received /the word of God.
2 베드로가 예루살렘에 올라갔을 때에 할례자들이 힐난하여
2 So when Peter went up /to Jerusalem, /the circumcised believers criticized him
3 가로되 네가 무할례자의 집에 들어가 함께 먹었다 하니
3 and said,/ "You went into the house of uncircumcised men /and ate with them."
4 베드로가 저희에게 이 일을 차례로 설명하여
4 Peter began and explained everything to them/ precisely /as it had happened:
(* 다음의11:5-14 절에서 자신이 체험하였던(10:9-16) 환상에서부터 고넬료가 겸험했던 환상에 이르기까지 (10:1-7) 그간에 일어났던 이야기를 처음부너 상세하게 설명하고 있다. 11:5-14 절은 행10:1-22 절의 내용을 거의 요약 반복하여 역설하고 있다.
이것은 고넬료와 자신에게 거의 동시에 또는 시간차적으로 나타난 그 환상의 사건등을 통해서 이방인과 같은 식탁에서 식사를 하게 된 이유를 설명하려는 것이기도 할 것이다. 이방인에게 복음전파에 대한 일은 이제 공식적으로는 최초가 되기에 상당히 중요한 내용이라 할 것이다.)
(* 베드로가 이방인의 집에 가서 함께 식사를 하고 복음을 전했다는 사실이 예루살렘에 알려지게 되었을 때 그것은 어쩌면 그 시점에서는 유대인에게 받아드릴 수 없는 혁명적인 일이기도 하였을 것이다. 그 일을 인하여 베드로를 비난하기 시작하기도 하였다. 이에 베드로는 그에게 일어난 사건 그리고 고넬료에게 일어난 산건을 설명하며 이것은 하나님의 계획이었고 뜻이었음을 설명하고 있는 것이다.
이러한 베드로의 그 과정의 자세하고 놀라운 설명을 들은 예루살렘 교인들은 그 사실의 의미를 깨닫고 더 이상 문제삼을 이유가 없다는 것을 이해하고 알게 되었을 것이다.그래서 그들은 이방인들도 유대인과 동일하게 하나님의 은혜 안에 있다는 것을 깨닫게 된 것이다. 그렇다면 다음을 계속 읽어가자.)
5 가로되 내가 욥바 성에서 기도할 때에 비몽사몽간에 환상을 보니 큰 보자기 같은 그릇을 네 귀를 매어 하늘로부터 내리워 내 앞에까지 드리우거늘
5 "I was in the city of Joppa /praying, /and in a trance/ I saw a vision./ I saw something like a large sheet /being let down /from heaven /by its four corners, /and it came down to /where I was.
6 이것을 주목하여 보니 땅에 네 발 가진 것과 들짐승과 기는 것과 공중에 나는 것들이 보이더라
6 I looked into it/ and saw four-footed animals /of the earth, /wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.
7 또 들으니 소리 있어 내게 이르되 베드로야 일어나 잡아먹으라 하거늘
7 Then I heard a voice /telling me, /'Get up,/ Peter./ Kill and eat.'
8 내가 가로되 주여 그럴 수 없나이다 속되거나 깨끗지 아니한 물건은 언제든지 내 입에 들어간 일이 없나이다 하니
8 "I replied, /'Surely not, /Lord! / Nothing impure or unclean /has ever entered my mouth.'
9 또 하늘로부터 두 번째 소리 있어 내게 대답하되 하나님이 깨끗하게 하신 것을 네가 속되다 말라 하더라
9 "The voice spoke /from heaven a second time,/ 'Do not call anything impure /that God has made clean.'
(* 구약에서 많은 선지자들에게 나타나신 하나님은, 그 말씀이 육신이 되어 예수님으로 오셔서 전하시고 대속의 죽으심 부활 승천 이후 이제 그의 성령으로 말씀하신 것을 볼 수 있다. 요14:-16: )
10 이런 일이 세 번 있은 후에 모든 것이 다시 하늘로 끌려 올라가더라
10 This happened three times,/ and then it was all pulled up / to heaven again.
11 마침 세 사람이 내 우거한 집 앞에 섰으니 가이사랴에서 내게로 보낸 사람이라
11 "Right then /three men who had been sent to me /from Caesarea stopped /at the house where I was staying.
12 성령이 내게 명하사 아무 의심 말고 함께 가라 하시매 이 여섯 형제도 나와 함께 가서 그 사람의 집에 들어가니
12 The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man's house.
(* 부활하신 예수님은 이제 그의 성령으로 말씀하시고 함께 역사하신 것이다. 그렇다면 예수님은 그의 영원하신 성령으로 오늘도 교회 교인에게 그의 약속대로 말씀하시고 계신다는 것이다. 교회 교인은 그것을 깨달아야 할 것이다. 요14:16-18, 14:-16:
13 그가 우리에게 말하기를 천사가 내 집에 서서 말하되 네가 사람을 욥바에 보내어 베드로라 하는 시몬을 청하라
13 He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, 'Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.
14 그가 너와 네 온 집의 구원 얻을 말씀을 네게 이르리라 함을 보았다 하거늘
14 He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.'
15 내가 말을 시작할 때에 성령이 저희에게 임하시기를 처음 우리에게 하신 것과 같이 하는지라
(* 하나님의 말씀을 전할 때 하나님의 영 성령께서 함께 하시고 역사하시는 것을 볼 수 있다.)
15 "As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.
16 내가 주의 말씀에 요한은 물로 세례 주었으나 너희는 성령으로 세례받으리라 하신 것이 생각났노라
16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
(* 요14:26 ' 보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치시고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하시리라')
(* 위 구절의 말씀은 예수님의 말씀이기도 하지만 세례 요한의 선언이기도 하다. 다음의 구절들과 함께 읽는다면 깨닫는 바가 크고 클 것이다. 사40:3, 마11:10-11, 막1;8 , 요1:6-7, 1:33-34 , 행1:5, 11:15-16.)
26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.'
위 구절의 말씀은 예수님께서 유월절을 지키시며 대속의 죽으심을 죽으시기 전날 밤에 마가의 다락방에서 하신 말씀이다.)
(* 하나님께서 자신이 오시는 길을 예비할 사자를 보내겠다고 약속한 사람이 세례요한이다. 사40:3, 행1: 4-5, 13:24, 요33-34 .)
17 그런즉 하나님이 우리가 주 예수 그리스도를 믿을 때에 주신 것과 같은 선물을 저희에게도 주셨으니 내가 누구관대 하나님을 능히 막겠느냐 하더라
17 So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could oppose God?"
18 저희가 이 말을 듣고 잠잠하여 하나님께 영광을 돌려 가로되 그러면 하나님께서 이방인에게도 생명 얻는 회개를 주셨도다 하니라
18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."
(* 베드로와 고넬료에게 주신 환상과 그 후 되어진 일을 통해서 베드로와 사도들과 형제들이 이방인에게도 복음을 전해야 한다는 확고한 신학 또는 신앙인 정립되었다고 볼 수 있다. 이것은 획기적인 일일었을 것이다. 그 당시까지 이방인에게 복음을 전한다는 것은 상상도 못했을 것이다.
그러므로 스데반의 일로 환난을 인하여 흩어진 자들이 유대인에게만 복음을 전했다는 것이다. 다음을 보면 알 수 있다.)
19 때에 스데반의 일로 일어난 환난을 인하여 흩어진 자들이 베니게와 구브로와 안디옥까지 이르러 도를 유대인에게만 전하는데
19 Now those who had been scattered by the persecution in connection with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, telling the message only to Jews.
20 그 중에 구브로와 구레네 몇 사람이 안디옥에 이르러 헬라인에게도 말하여 주 예수를 전파하니
20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus.
( * 이제 베드로에게 보여주신 환상 그리고 그 이전에 이방인 장교 백부장에게 보여주신 환상 그리고 그 후 되어진 일을 통해 베드로의 증언을 통해 이방인에게 복음전파하는 신학 신앙 열심을 가지고 헬라인에게도 담대하게 주 예수를 전파하게 된 것이다. 그리고 그 역사는 놀라웠다. 주의 성령이 함께 역사하신 것이다.)
21 주의 손이 그들과 함께 하시매 수다한 사람이 믿고 주께 돌아오더라
21 The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
(* 이방 세계에 복음을 하나님의 말씀을 전할 때 주의 성령이 함께하여 많은 사람들이 믿고 주께 돌아왔다는 것이다.
22 예루살렘 교회가 이 사람들의 소문을 듣고 바나바를 안디옥까지 보내니
22 News of this reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
23 저가 이르러 하나님의 은혜를 보고 기뻐하여 모든 사람에게 굳은 마음으로 주께 붙어 있으라 권하니
23 When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.
24 바나바는 착한 사람이요 성령과 믿음이 충만한 자라 이에 큰 무리가 주께 더하더라
24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
25 바나바가 사울을 찾으러 다소에 가서
25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
26 만나매 안디옥에 데리고 와서 둘이 교회에 일 년간 모여 있어 큰 무리를 가르쳤고 제자들이 안디옥에서 비로소 그리스도인이라 일컬음을 받게 되었더라
26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

27 그 때에 선지자들이 예루살렘에서 안디옥에 이르니
27 During this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 그 중에 아가보라 하는 한 사람이 일어나 성령으로 말하되 천하가 크게 흉년 들리라 하더니 글라우디오 때에 그렇게 되니라
28 One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.)
29 제자들이 각각 그 힘대로 유대에 사는 형제들에게 부조를 보내기로 작정하고
29 The disciples, each according to his ability, decided to provide help for the brothers living in Judea.
30 이를 실행하여 바나바와 사울의 손으로 장로들에게 보내니라
30 This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.
(* 최초로 그리스도인이라 불리운 것은 교회사에서 기억할 역사일 것이다.)
예수님의 제자들 교인들이 안디록에서 최초로 그리스도인이라 불리워지게 된 것은 교회사에서 기록할 만한 사건일 것이다.
' 제자들이 안디옥에서 비로소 그리스도인이라 일컬음을 받게 되었더라' (행11:26)
' The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.' (Acts11:26)

1. 예수님은 대속의 죽으심 부활 이후 땅긑까지 내 증인일 되리라고 약속하시다. 성령이 임하시므로 그 일을 할 수 있다고 하셨다.
행1:8,
1. 교회를 , 자기의 피로 교회를 세우시고 그 일을 계속하게 하신 것이다.
행2:
1. 이방까지 가서 주님의 피로 사신 교회를 핍박하는 사도바울의 계획을 막으시고 오히려 이방선교의 사명을 주셨다.
행9:15,
1. 하나님께서는 이방인의 장교 백부장 고넬료와 예수님의 제자 베드로에게 거의 동시에 나타나 놀라운 방법으로 이방 선교의 문을 열게하셨다.
행10장
1. 이방선교에 대한 부정적으로 보거나 비난하는 상황에서 베드로는 반복하여 그의 전도가 전혀 자기의 계획이 아닌 것을 반복하여 역설하고 알려준 것을 볼 수 있다.
행11:
행23: -28:
1. 바울의 이방선교 때에 함께 역사하셔서 많은 표적을 보여주신 것을 바울도 놀라며 증언하고 있다.

12 온 무리가 가만히 있어 바나바와 바울이 하나님이 자기들로 말미암아 이방인 중에서 행하신 표적과 기사 고하는 것을 듣더니
12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.

18 그리스도께서 이방인들을 순종케 하기 위하여 나로 말미암아 말과 일이며 표적과 기사의 능력이며 성령의 능력으로 역사하신 것 외에는 내가 감히 말하지 아니하노라
