[생태공동체운동본부 365일 생명살림기도] "생명의 강을 위하여"
이른 비와 늦은 비를 적당한 때에 내리시는 하나님! 당신이 손수 만드신 것이 참으로 많으나 어느 것 하나 오묘하지 않은 것이 없고 땅은 온통 당신 것으로 풍요합니다. 저 크고 넓은 바다, 거기에는 크고 작은 물고기가 수없이 우글거리고 배들이 이리 오고 저리 가는 모습을 보며 주님을 찬양합니다.
주님은 생명의 젖줄인 물을 우리에게 주셨건만 강 곳곳이 파괴되어 죽어가는 생명을 바라보기만 한 죄를 용서해주소서. 강물이 있는 곳으로 모여 삶을 꾸려갔던 우리의 모습을 잊고 마음대로 강바닥을 파헤치고 물을 오염시키는 잘못을 용서해주소서.
이제는 생명이 숨 쉬는 그대로의 강을 보전하고 아름다움을 간직하는 일에 앞장서게 하소서. 더는 강변에 사는 동식물과 농민들의 터전을 짓밟는 일에 무관심하지 않게 하소서. 그들의 눈에서 눈물을 흘리지 않게 하소서. 다시 맑은 물살이 냇물을 흘러 흘러 강으로 가고 ...바다로 가게 하소서. 주의 사랑을 의지하여 기도합니다. 아멘.
God, you who provide the early rains as well as the late rains in their season, you have created everything through your own hands. The world's beauty is profound, the entire land is overflowing with your blessing. God we praise you! We look at the huge and wide oceans, the countless swarms of small and big fish, the boats coming from here and going there.
God, you gave us water as the streams of life. Please forgive us that we are destroying rivers, that we are killing the life within them in so many places. We forget that people have always come together at the places the rivers flow to lead their lives. Please forgive us, that we carelessly dig up the rivers bottoms and pollute the waters.
God, help us now to protect the rivers where life breathes freely, and let us go ahead in cherishing its beauty. Let us not be indifferent when flora and fauna living at the riverside are threatened and the livelihood base of the local farmers is trampled on. Comfort them that they do not shed tears. Oh Lord! Let clear waters flow again from the small streams to the bigger rivers to the vast oceans. Leaning on your love, we pray to you God! Amen.
