On July 9th (Tuesday), a sending ceremony to send towels to South Africa Mission Center for Persons with Disabilities was held in the conference room at the PROK General Assembly office.
PROK General Secretary, Rev. Jae Cheon Lee, presented a progress report, and PROK Vice-Moderator, Rev. Soon Jung Yuk, shared words of encouragement. Rev. Jung Soo Hwang, director of Partnership and Ecumenical Relations, shared a welcoming message, and Rev. Chung Sup Lee, PROK Moderator, shared a word of prayer and blessing for the ceremony. Members from Songam Church (Rev. Jeong Gon LEE) and PROK Women’s Association were also present to help sort out the towels and clothes.
A total of 155 boxes filled with towels, blankets, pillows, and clothes were collected from churches and organizations. The boxes were then prepared for customs clearance, and on Wednesday, July 16th, the boxes were loaded onto shipping containers and shipped out from Incheon Port at 11 am.
Once again, we are deeply grateful to everyone who donated and helped with preparations to send supplies to the Mission Center in South Africa for persons with disabilities.
