Dear friends,_?xml_:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Greetings from PROK.
About 2 years ago, we asked our partner churches to pray for the laid-off irregular workers of Kiryung Co. who had struggled for more than 1000 days. More than 1500 days' desperate struggle since 2005, the irregular workers of the company eventually ended their journey for justice. On 1 Nov. 2010, the company agreed to hire the remaining members of the labor union as full time.
And last week, the NCCK awarded them the 2010 human rights prize.
I do hope that in the season of Advent this story will inspire us to live together with the marginalized people in our society as Jesus did in his time.
