The 588th Military Training Camp Mass-Baptism Ceremony
(conducted by the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea)
On November 27, the 588th Military Training Camp Mass-Baptism Ceremony was held at Yeonmudae Training Camp Church, conducted by the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea.
The ceremony was previously scheduled for July but was postponed due to the government's COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and was held instead in November.
Due to COVID-19, it was difficult for pastors to participate directly. Thus, the opening prayer (Rev. Lee Ho Yeol, Chair, PROK Military Chaplain Supporters’ Group), sermon and benediction (Rev. Lee Gun Hee, former Moderator), and congratulatory message (Rev. Kim Chang Joo, General Secretary) were conducted online.
Please pray for the 1,200 trainees who were baptized to finish their military service in good faith despite the difficult situation of COVID-19. We also ask for your interest, support, and prayers for the Society of Military Chaplains and the Military Mission Outreach.
