Monday Prayer for Peaceful Reconciliation and Reunification
of North and South Korea
The PROK General Assembly Peace and Reunification Committee (Peace Community Headquarters) has continued to march in prayer for permanent peace and reunification on the Korean Peninsula.
While it has been difficult to conduct normal prayer meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the prayer meetings have continued online and with prayer card movements.
As our society prepares to transition to life after the pandemic, the church is making efforts to restore worship and sunday schools.
The Monday prayer for peaceful reconciliation and reunification of North and South Korea has also begun preparing to ensure that prayers for peace and reunification can continue as normal. The PROK General Assembly office staff have opened a new beginning with one heart for this new start.
The 249th Peaceful Reconciliation and Reunification Monday Prayer was held at 7 pm on May 2, 2022, at Joy Hall of the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK). With a beautiful song by the PROK General Assembly office staff and a powerful sermon by Moderator Rev. Kim Eun Kyoung, it was a time to reignite the spark for peaceful reunification.
Please join us every Monday to pray for peace and reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula.
We hope that churches, presbyteries, and institutions will also join to help organize and hold prayer meetings.
