United Church of Canada Support for Peace and Unification on the Korean Peninsula
On November 29, 2022, Rev. Kim Chang Ju, PROK General Secretary, met with Patti Talbot, Ecumenical Director of the Global Partnership Cluster and Coordinator of Asia Partnerships of The United Church of Canada, to discuss follow-up cooperation between PROK and The United Church of Canada. During this meeting, the United Church showed interest in supporting PROK’s work for peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula.
On the morning of his departure on January 5, 2023, Dr. John Egger, mission coworker of the United Church of Canada, helped deliver and recognize the United Church’s financial contribution to the PROK General Assembly office as the final wrap-up of his work in Korea.
